Cool air is the summit. We know the trail.

Summit QK AC Services is Norwalk’s specialist for ductless mini-splits, heat pump swaps, refrigerant leaks and the stubborn AC faults other visits miss.

Silver ductwork running across a ceiling

Five camps on the way up.

  1. Camp 1

    Ductless mini-split installs

Cool or heat a single room, garage conversion or addition without touching ductwork. We size, mount and commission the system.

  2. Camp 2

    Heat pump replacement

Retire an aging AC and furnace pair for one system that cools in summer and heats in winter.

  3. Camp 3

    Refrigerant leak detection

Trace the leak, repair it and recharge to spec, rather than topping off a system that keeps losing charge.

  4. Camp 4

    Capacitor, motor & compressor repair

The parts behind most humming, hard starts and tripped breakers, tested before they are replaced.

  5. Summit

    Evaporator coil cleaning

A clogged coil chokes airflow and can freeze over. We clean it properly instead of just spraying it.

Technician reading system data on a tablet

We read the mountain before we climb it.

Most AC trouble hides behind a vague symptom. So we measure first and recommend second, then show you what we found before any part is replaced.

  • Airflow across the coil
  • Refrigerant pressures and temperatures
  • Electrical draw on motors and compressor
  • Condition of the filter, drain and coil

Trail notes

My AC runs, but the house stays warm. Why?

Common causes are a clogged filter, a frozen evaporator coil, low refrigerant or a failing capacitor. Turn the system off if you see ice, then call us so we can test it.

When does a heat pump make sense?

When an older AC and furnace are both near the end of their life, or when you want one efficient system for both seasons. We will walk you through the fit for your home.

Can a mini-split cool a room that has no ducts?

Yes. That is exactly what ductless systems are built for: garages, additions, converted spaces and rooms that never cooled well.

What happens during a refrigerant leak visit?

We test pressures, locate the leak, explain the repair options, and recharge to the manufacturer’s specification once the leak is fixed.
